Our pasture raised broilers have large meaty breasts and are raised on pasture at our farm. Their pens are moved daily so they can forage on fresh grass, bugs and worm and receive locally sourced high protein feed. They never receive antibiotics or medication.
These slow growing breeds are the same breeds that would have been seen on our grandparents, and great-grandparents farms. Rhode Island Red & Dark Cornish breeds that mature much slower than the modern broiler. Slower growing allows these birds to attain a richer flavor and firmer texture with balanced white and dark meat.
The best eggs you will ever eat! Our birds live in small groups live their lives out on pasture. They spend their days foraging for grass, and bugs plus receive supplemental locally sourced grains. Available spring to fall, we give them a break in the winter to grow new feathers and rest up for the year.
Firewood is available seasonally. We sell it by the rick/face cord (8'x4' stack that is 16" to 18" deep) or by the cord which is 4'x4'x8' or 128 cu ft. Our ricks are sold either as campfire wood which is a mix of softwood and hardwood depending on availability. Hardwood is sold by the cord. Message us for availability.
